Grand Hotel Portovenere, Porto Venere

The hotel offers a wonderful stay with a king-size bed and a spacious shower/bathroom but lacks an iron service, which can be inconvenient on vacation. The service was attentive and helpful, making our days relaxing. The location, although lacking good breakfast options, provides amazing views and easy access to Cinque Terre. The dining was a pleasant surprise, though it lacked a barbecue option. The facilities were well-kept and enjoyable.

The hotel had beautiful, clean, and tasteful rooms that were large, very comfortable, quiet, and clean, representing a real paradise for relaxation. The service was incredibly kind, efficient, and professional, making me feel truly welcomed and cared for during my stay. The exceptional location provided breathtaking views of the harbor, castle, and church, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the charm of Porto Venere. The dining experience was among the best I've had at a hotel, offering a delightful culinary journey. The facilities were top-notch, enhancing my overall experience. However, the rooms were very disappointing and did not match the pictures, creating a slight mismatch in expectations. The dining area felt more like that of a 3-star hotel, lacking the excellence I anticipated. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's great location and exceptional service made my stay memorable.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a covered balcony offering a great view of the old town and port, but they lacked style and had a disappointing view of the port. However, the amenities were excellent, providing a modern fit-out, a large bathroom, sitting room, and front balcony.

The hotel has a stunning location by the water with a terrace offering sea views. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making it a must-stay spot. However, the rooms were uncomfortably hot due to non-operational air conditioning, impacting the overall experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were lovely, with a small balcony and a stunning view overlooking the harbor, but the bed, being made of two singles pushed together, was uncomfortable for couples. Additionally, the price seemed a bit high for the lack of a proper view. The service was amazing, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff, including a manager who even shared his cooking skills with us during a cookery class. The location couldn't have been better for exploring the 5 towns and Porto Venere, with easy access to the Cinque Terre by boat right below the hotel. The dining experience was outstanding, with one of the best free spreads I've seen at a hotel. Lastly, the facilities were top-notch, making my stay truly enjoyable.
